New hotel accommodation in Hobart

Innkeepers Tasmania is proud to announce the impending opening of two new hotel properties in and around Hobart. In the middle of the busiest time of year we will be able to offer more rooms in our popular capital city.

Hobart's latest in CBD hotel accommodation will be Hotel Collins, due to open its doors to guests on 15 December 2009. This property is part of Innkeepers Hotels and Innkeepers Premium Hotels. Located a short stroll from Hobart's historic waterfront this hotel offers 80 four to four and a half star rooms and some apartments. The contemporary fitout and floor to celing windows afford guests a range of interesting vistas towards the Domain, the Derwent River and Mount Wellington.

Shopping in the mall and CBD are but 50 metres away from the hotel's front door. Around the corner is the Theatre Royal where national and local plays and music performances are held throughout the year. Walk to the harbour to take one of our popular cruises such as Innkeepers experience Peppermint Bay Cruise or the exhilarating Bruny Wildlife Adventure.

If the CBD is too busy for you, try the Southern Lights Hotel, Innkeepers latest Discovery Inn opening next month in Kingston. Located a mere 15 minutes south of Hobart at the gateway to the Huon Valley this fully refurbished motel is already delighting diners with its restaurant 'Aura'.

Hotel accommodation does not need to be hard to find anymore, if you need assistance with convenient bookings and the best deals, phone our central reservations office on 1300 130 369 Monday to Friday 9-5 and Saturday from 9-1. Innkeepers Tasmania staff are local experts and will provide free advice and assistance for all your holiday requirements.

Bruny Island Cruises part of Innkeepers Tasmania

Award-winning Bruny Island Cruises is part of Innkeepers Tasmania portfolio of accommodation and experiences. Rob Pennicott's Wilderness Journeys also include the wonderful Tasman Island Cruises, again a part of the Innkeepers Tasmania portfolio. Both experiences are within a day trip from Hobart, Tasmania's vibrant capital city.

A Tasman Island Cruise is ideally combined with a visit to Port Arthur Historic Site, our most visited cultural icon. On the way there or on your return, stop at the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park for the perfect day out. When staying in Hobart or Port Arthur let us assist you with Innkeeper hotels, apartments and Intimate Retreats. If you stay on Tasman Penisnula, why not try the Ghost Tour at Port Arthur after dinner? Visit the Coal Mines Historic Site, take a walk in the Tasman National Park or enjoy lunch at Taylor's Restaurant at Stewarts Bay Lodge.

Innkeepers Tasmania offers accommodation at Fox and Hounds Inn or Stewarts Bay Lodge for your convenience. Both properties are close to the Port ARthur Historic Site.

Boutique Accommodation with Innkeepers Tasmania

The Innkeepers Tasmania group of accommodation offers a range of boutique properties and intimate retreats. To make your Tasmania holiday memorable, choose from our selection of character hotels, apartments and retreats around the state. Tasmania is known for its hidden treasures and some of our accommodation more than meets this description.
Why not stay in one of Tasmania's most stunning retreats at Piermont Retreat in Swansea? Located on 93 hectares of serene beach frontage, just 3 kilometres south of Swansea, Piermont Retreat is a delightfully different resort on Great Oyster Bay overlooking Freycinet National Park.
Featuring walls of local stone almost half a metre thick, local timbers, and roofs of Kashmiri slate, each cottage is built bio-sustainably, with quality fittings and wood fires. Fully self-contained, each cottage features a neutral magnetic field to guarantee restful sleep and that feeling of personal renewal that guests say is Piermont's signature.
Another eco-minded retreat is Huon Bush Retreats in the Huon Valley south of Hobart. Surrounded by natural bushland and a selection of private walking tracks, this property will meet the highest environmental standards. Get away from the world of rushing about to experience deep rest and tranquility.
Further afield lies the western wilderness where Gordon Gateway Chalets offers some superb retreat style accommodation in Strahan. Luxuriously appointed, their suites and penthouse overlook Macquarie Harbour and Strahan with some of the best views in town.
